Monochromatic Composition Collage

Part of GETCA 2026
Thursday 26 February 2026·4:00 pm

Join us in learning a visual art lesson that is awesome for grades 7-12 to teach composition and collage skills. Composition in art is the way in which different elements of an artwork are combined. In general, this refers to the key subjects of the artwork and how they are arranged in relation to each other. I will guide you through the student lesson and then we will work on the small project that students would complete. You will go home with one small demo and a handout to help you use this lesson in your visual art or design classrooms. Supplies we will be using: magazine and printed images, glue sticks, sharpies, gel pens, paint markers, construction paper, and india ink with dip pens.
