"Stones and Their Stories This session will explore the intersection of Indigenous Knowledge and emergent AI technologies through the lens of Wahkohtowin, or kinship. Drawing on the cultural significance of stones and land-based teachings, this presentation reflects on how Large Language Models (LLMs) challenge and expand our relationships with non-human intelligence. Other implications and considerations in this session include: personifying AI, Indigenous data sovereignty and the future of education and technology in FNMI communities. Rooted in Treaty 6 territory, this session invites dialogue on reconciliation, sustainability and Indigenous futurisms."
