Untold Women of Science: Beyond the genius men of science narrative in high school science.

To be a female in a high school science class is to be a women walking into a frat house. A frat house created and sustained for the past few hundred years. A frat house with a tapestry containing curated images of the “geniuses” of science. What stories lie beyond the history that we have learned? Could incorporating these stories into our classrooms contextualize the history of science for our female and other students who continue to be marginalized within science? Join me in exploring untold stories of women in science and how they relate to the outcomes within Alberta Science classes.
