Using Fields to Go Places!
Part of GETCA 2026
Thursday 26 February 2026·6:40 pm
Are you looking for a hands-on, low-cost engineering challenge? Is engaging students in STEM rich problems one of your priorities? In this session participants will use gravity to model electric field effects, LEDs and playdough to test the model, and then analyze a prototype before building a better version themselves. The material covered is appropriate for physics 20 and 30, and science 30 teachers. This session is based on the classroom ready resource Fields from the Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics.
