Vertical whiteboards and banana labs for your physics students.

This session will focus on two aspects of physics. The first being the integration of vertical white boards, adopted from Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics by Peter Liljedahl, into my physics lessons and the impact it has had on my teaching practices and student learning. The second is the “famous” banana lab to calculate the coefficient of kinetic friction and learning about free-body diagrams.
