In an era of accelerating technological change, district leaders need to ensure that AI becomes an asset for teachers, not a threat. In this session, Dr. Kelly Coffin (Superintendent, Farmington), and Camille Hibbler (Superintendent, Ferndale) will share how their districts are intentionally integrating AI tools in ways that amplify teacher expertise, personalize student learning, and overall boost student achievement while retaining the human relationship at the core of effective teaching. Attendees will leave with three actionable strategies for leadership: 1) Framing AI as teacher support instead of a replacement 2) Guiding professional development to build confident and ethical use of AI in classrooms 3) Aligning AI tool adoption with instructional vision and goals Key Takeaway: Leaders will walk away with a practical roadmap to implement AI-enabled instructional supports that strengthen teacher capacity, protect the teacher-student relationship, and advance student learning.
