Brass for All: Empowering Every Teacher, Engaging Every Student
Friday 20 February 2026·9:30 pm
Brass instruments are a foundational pillar of instrumental music, yet only a small percentage of students have access. This hands-on session empowers teachers of all backgrounds to bring brass into general music using the natural trumpet—the historical trumpet without valves—offering a simplified and accessible brass experience, much like the recorder for woodwinds. Along the way, participants will see how the natural trumpet supports interdisciplinary learning, connecting music to other subjects in rich and engaging ways.
