Let's Play The Launchpad! Increasing Engagement and Motivation in Music Class
Friday 20 February 2026·8:15 pm
Launchpads are a new type of musical instrument and input device that allow students to create, perform, and record their own music through many different software packages such as Soundtrap, Bandlab, Garage Band, Ableton Live. Students can learn to record melodies, chords, drum beats, and bass lines using a colorful light-up 8x8 grid, and they make learning composition and music theory fun. Launchpads can be used in all levels of music education.
