Why You Need a Music Technology Class and How to Start One

Incorporating technology into the music curriculum boosts engagement for students with diverse musical backgrounds. Many students struggle to connect with traditional instrumental or vocal programs that may not match their interests. Using digital audio workstations (DAWs) and software synthesizers, students can easily experiment with sounds and compose music. This session will also highlight how music technology classes integrate STEM elements, fostering skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while allowing students to explore their musical interests.
