EASY MATH GAMES TO MAKE MATH EASY FOR UPPER ELEMEMENTARY STUDENTS AND THEIR TEACHERS

A large portion of adults and many students echo the sentiment "I'm not good at math." This session will focus on using easy but powerful math games that help students understand complex concepts in math. A wide range of grade 4 - 6 concepts will be highlighted and the audience will have input regarding which concepts the games presented will focus on. So if your students are struggling with a particular concept, come to the session and ask that it will be addressed. Games are good for whole class and small group and are easily differentiated. Game Boards provided, come prepared to play! Session Objectives: 1. After polling the audience, participants will play a wide selection of math games that address their concerns. 2. Participants will learn how to play a game and easily differentiate to meet the needs of all students in their classroom. 3. Participants will view student samples and learn how these can effectively be used for assessment purposes.
