Mini Labs

This session will feature a series of engaging mini-labs primarily focused on biology and chemistry concepts, explicitly designed for students in grades 7 - 12. Participants will explore low-tech, hands-on investigations that use simple materials to model scientific processes, reinforce core content, and support diverse learning styles. Each mini-lab will be easy to implement in any classroom and adaptable for different grade levels or academic needs. At the conclusion of the session, teachers will receive access to a dedicated website containing all of the labs, instructions, material lists, and assessment ideas for immediate classroom use. This resource will support ongoing implementation and help teachers integrate more interactive, student-centred science learning into their curriculum. Session Objectives: 1.
