Two Approaches to Support Elementary Writing Instruction

Participants will come and learn about two approaches they might use for writing instruction in their classrooms: writing process and genre-based strategy instruction. Presenters will highlight how strategies and text structure focused instruction can and should be integrated. Participants will have ample time to apply this learning to their own upcoming writing instructional units.
