Promoting Student Autonomy: A Study From the Preservice Classroom

Creating inclusive, democratic classrooms requires shifting power dynamics. Effectively, students need opportunities to help shape learning experiences. This research-based presentation shares how learning experiences for preservice teachers were purposefully designed to share epistemic authority, with the hope that these future teachers will be better equipped to craft inclusive learning environments.
