Building Human Intelligence in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Monday 23 March 2026·8:00 pm

Middle school is a time when students are figuring out who they are, how they relate to others, and whether what they’re learning actually matters. They’re surrounded by powerful technology, and yet what they need most are the opportunities to build the skills that technology can't: the ability to listen, to make sense of difference perspectives, to work through challenges with others, and to care about the world beyond themselves. In this interactive session, educators from two North Carolina middle schools share what it looks like to intentionally grow those human skills through global learning. You’ll explore real classroom examples, reflect on your practice, and leave with practical strategies to help your students connect more deeply with their learning, with one another, and with the larger world.
