From Challenge to Change: Evidence-Based Behavior Supports for MTSS-Integrated Schools
Turn classroom challenges into success! This session introduces educators to applied behavior analysis (ABA), a research-supported approach for understanding and supporting student behavior in MTSS-integrated schools. ABA is grounded in the idea that all behavior is learned and can be changed by adjusting the environment and the consequences that follow behavior. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to use ABA strategies to identify, analyze, and address challenging behaviors. You will explore practical, evidence-based methods that help create positive, supportive learning environments and improve student outcomes. By the end of the session, participants will be able to: 1) define ABA and its key principles, 2) apply ABA strategies to design effective behavior supports, and 3) use ready-to-implement tools, templates, and resources. This session equips educators, leaders, and staff with actionable strategies that can be applied immediately to transform behavior and strengthen MTSS systems.
