Mentoring Masterful Poetry, Making Students' Figurative Language Flip and Fly

Powerful words played well in prose or rhyme move people to action. Empower students using mentor texts to educate how writing poetry creatively, helps them to advocate for positive social change. Picture book anthologies and individual poems, written and/or performed, will be used highlighting historical and contemporary poets.
