Spiralling the Curriculum: What Does It Really Mean?
Part of NCTCA 2026
Thursday 5 February 2026·5:15 pm
Curious about how spiralling works in practice—and why it matters? This session explores the power of intentional lesson design and how revisiting key concepts over time can deepen understanding. We’ll review examples of spiralled units for Grades 4-6 and take a peek at those created for Grades 7-9 and discuss practical strategies for planning and delivery. We will discuss the relationship between spiralled units and multi concept assessment questions. Come join the conversation and leave with ideas you can use in your own classroom!
