Part of NCTIES 2026
Thursday 5 March 2026·6:30 pm
This study analyzed and compared ChatGPT 3.5's and o1's ability to provide personalized, accurate, and contextually relevant trigonometry instruction. Findings show that Model o1 significantly improved adaptive, student-centered, gradual explanations and relevant real-world applications compared to the older model, ChatGPT 3.5. This highlights AI’s potential in effective math tutoring, supporting students' understanding, and modeling instructional best practices. It also reveals AI's continued limitations, underscoring the necessity of human oversight.
