Empowering K–5 Student Voice Through Digital Presentation Tools: Google Vids, Wixie and SeeSaw

In this interactive session, participants will explore how K–5 students can use digital tools to create engaging presentations that amplify their voice, demonstrate learning, and build digital fluency. We will model practical strategies for integrating Wixie, Google Slides, and SeeSaw into classroom instruction, focusing on student creativity, choice, and communication. Participants will see examples of student-created content across grade levels and subjects, and leave with ready-to-use templates, lesson ideas, and integration tips. The session will also highlight how these tools support the ISTE Standards for Students (Empowered Learner, Creative Communicator, Knowledge Constructor) and ISTE Standards for Educators (Facilitator, Designer, Analyst).Learning ObjectivesBy the end of this session, participants will be able to:Identify key features of Wixie, Google Slides/Vids, and SeeSaw that support student presentation creation.Design learning experiences that align with ISTE Standards and promote student agency.Implement strategies for scaffolding digital presentation skills across K–5 grade levels.Access and adapt templates and exemplars for immediate classroom use.
