Hands-On Learning with Device Kits - Engaging Teachers and Students Through Technology.

Come learn about Brunswick County Schools’ approach to using device kits to support STEAM learning. See how we support the distribution of materials, our repository of lessons, and see examples of how we use the device kits to engage K-12 students. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore with the following devices: Sphero, Ozobot, Code & Go Robot Mice, iRobot Root, ClassVR, Botly 2.0. During this workshop, participants spend time exploring the BCS Device Kits checkout page and our Digital Learning Vertical Alignments repository of lessons. We will share our vision of how the technology can be used to enhance the educational experience of our students. Participants will then have ample time to work with multiple device kits and follow some of the lessons we have used in our district. Use the time to get ideas and collaborate to make some activities on your own.
