Performance Design Considerations Workshop: ​ Aligning People, Place, & Practice

This session explores how physical learning environments influence cognitive, emotional, and social outcomes in K-12 education.​ ​ Through evidence from neuroscience, environmental psychology, and ergonomics, participants will learn how to apply the 8 Performance Design Considerations (PDCs) to design learning spaces that promote health, safety, welfare, and academic success. ​ ​ The workshop introduces backward design thinking that links learner outcomes to measurable environmental conditions and culminates in a live design audit activity.
