Walk This Way: See Like an Artist, Think Like a Coder

Walking within and beyond the Raleigh Convention Center, this immersive workshop invites you to think like a coder and see like an artist. Together we will analyze architecture, public art, and cultural landmarks through the lenses of decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and visual critique. Like a guided museum tour with a twist, we will walk, observe, and reflect, asking: What do we see? How do we make sense of it? What patterns emerge? No CT or Visual Arts experience is required, only curiosity and a willingness to walk, see, and remix how learning comes alive. Back at the Convention Center, we’ll shift into a rapid design sprint where you’ll remix what you’ve experienced—sampling from CT and the arts to design a prototype learning experience for your own community. Whether through a walking tour, a field trip protocol, or a virtual/augmented exploration, you’ll leave with fresh, remix-ready ideas to spark engagement and discovery with your learners.
