CANCELED Healing Centered Practice

As a former Special Educator (mild/moderate) of 15 years and former foster parent of 6, Trauma Informed Pedagogy became a necessity in my practice. In this session I will share personal experiences from both teaching and fostering over the past two decades as it relates to and connects with current research across educational psychology, child development, and educational/developmental neuroscience. Specific definitions, examples, readings and graphics will be shared. Discussion of actions being taken in schools across the country today as well as local community agencies explored. Insights, connections, and understanding grown in collaboration with and connection to each other regarding Healing Centered Practice in education today.
