Education should extend far beyond the traditional boundaries of academics and standardized testing to place significant emphasis on the emotional well-being and happiness of students (joy), while simultaneously working to create and nurture inclusive communities where all students, regardless of their background or circumstances, feel genuinely valued, respected, and included (belonging).
