The Outdoor Classroom: Lets Give kids their Wildhood Back
Part of PDTCA 2026
Friday 20 February 2026·6:40 pm
Giving children their wildhoods back is meant to allow children of all ages to be outdoors, disconnect from technology, and simply enjoy and embrace the beauty of Mother Nature. This session is intended to provide stats and facts, and allow all attendees to consider and contemplate their level of risk as well as their own pedagogical philosophy and teaching approach. Literature from author Richard Louv, will be used to allow attendees to pause and ponder their personal pedagogical practices.
