Fact or Fiction: Myth-Busting with Online Simulations in Science for Division 2 Teachers
Friday 20 February 2026ยท5:30 pm
Learn how students can bust myths and distinguish fact from fiction using Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning (CER) strategies with ExploreLearning Gizmos. Imagine being a detective, piecing together clues to solve a mystery. With our interactive simulations, students can make claims, gather evidence, and use reasoning to evaluate their claims. Participants will experience an interactive Gizmos myth-busting lesson and gain access to a CER prompt library. Access to Gizmos for K-6 teachers has been provided by Alberta Education. Please bring an electronic device to get the most out of this session.
