The Power of Patterns - Making and Breaking Models

In this 1-h workshop participants will make observations and draw inferences, build models and test those models, and then compare the strengths of empirical models to theoretical models to purely mathematical models. There will be something in this session for you if you teach science in grades 7 to 11. This session is based on the free classroom-ready resources Nature of Science, Process of Science, and Beyond Bohr available from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.
