Application Models of Artificial Intelligence Tools in K-12 Physical Education
Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to become the dominant trend in future K-12 physical education (PE) instruction soon. Synergizing the data-acquisition capabilities of wearable devices with AI’s strengths in data curation, retrieval, and analytics can substantially enhance the effectiveness of PE instruction. This integration yields authentic, real-time feedback on students’ skill learning, physical activity (PA) levels, and health indicators while simultaneously equipping PE teachers with data-driven, individualized pedagogical guidance aligned to each student’s unique circumstances and competencies.
The present session aims to deliberate on the application models of AI tools within PE pedagogy, with the objective of leveraging wearables and AI models to increase student learning in PE. In addition, we will prospectively evaluate the feasibility of further developing AI software purpose-built for K-12 PE programs.
