End-to-End: Designing and Validating an Online Course With School-Based Coaches and Athletes

In this session, we will present two connected initiatives: CoachUp! Washington and CoachUp! Athlete. In the CoachUp! Washington project, a research team co-designed an online coach education program in collaboration with student-athletes, coaches, coach developers, administrative staff, and an instructional technologist to support holistic youth development. In the CoachUp! Athlete project, the program was validated with school-based coaches and athletes. We will outline how these two projects worked together, discussing dosage, technology use, and the ripple effect on youth athlete well-being. Insights and lessons learned will be shared, and all course materials and resources will be available to attendees.
