Part of 2026 SHAPE America National Convention & ExpoPresented by Alperin, Ms. Holly L., & Alperin, Ms. Holly L.
Thursday 19 March 2026·4:30 pm
Taking learning from the classroom to the “real world” is a key health education outcome. During this session, participants will examine strategies that support learning transfer by digging into the process of metacognition, thinking about thinking, and ways to infuse deeper learning into health education. Participants will leave the session with examples of classroom-based strategies that support metacognition and more tools to strengthen student learning in ways that promotes transfer outside the classroom.
