The curricular model of Situated Game Teaching Through Set Plays (SGTSP) will be introduced. Li et al. (2018) have developed this model based on the Theory of Situated Learning. The purpose of the SGTSP model is to develop students’ competence to successfully play sports and games through situated set plays. The effectiveness of this curricular model is evidence-based. We will demonstrate how to design practice progressions in soccer, badminton and pickleball using the SGTSP model.
