IR 2B: Increasing Systems Alignment and Coherence to Improve LEA Support with Sacramento County Office of Education

Tuesday 31 March 2026·7:45 pm

Note: If you attend this session, your lunch will be before this session -- from 11:30-12:30 p.m. -- in the High Tech Elementary Gym ("Round 1 Lunch"). This session focuses on a County Office’s effort to improve cross-departmental collaboration and better align their supports to district needs and priorities. The team is piloting shared tools such as district profiles and meeting protocols that bring together data, services, and LCAP priorities to guide joint planning and more focused conversations with district leaders. They are wrestling with how to have clearer, more useful conversations that surface district priorities, identify what’s working (and what’s not), and still offer support that is both tailored to each district and sustainable by the county office over time. SESSION FORMAT NOTE: Improvement Reviews are a powerful routine that supports team learning and organizational change. Presenters share an improvement effort in progress, reflect on data and learning, pose a dilemma, and receive expert feedback. Led by Summit facilitators in a fishbowl format, these sessions allow attendees to experience the routine, learn from the presenting team, and gain insights for their own improvement work. Improvement Reviews are a key way we “walk our talk” as a learning community that celebrates and pushes each other’s work. Facilitator: Kim Hinton Reviewers: Alicia Grunow, Dan Wolfson Improvement Review Protocol
