Failure in Coding
Interested in adding more coding instruction to your everyday teaching practice, but terrified of the idea of things not working? This session will provide you with a framework to build resiliency and reflection into your coding education and deal with those unexpected moments when the code goes wrong. Using the computational thinking model as a base, we will delve into those awkward feeling moments and learn how to change the conversation around failure. Failure is not the end of a project, but an opportunity to reflect, change, and learn. Modelling failure and how to “get unstuck” will help your students be better computational thinkers and problem solvers! Please bring a laptop, Chromebook, or tablet to this session. 7 Participants
