AI & Maths in the Classroom Smarter Teaching with Tools for the Future

Presented by Critical Agendas

Wednesday, August 26, 2026·11:30 PM

Critical Agendas presents 'AI & Maths in the Classroom: Smarter Teaching with Tools for the Future'—a practical, hands-on workshop designed for teachers who want to harness the power of AI tools to streamline planning, resource creation, and student support in mathematics. Led by Adam Kruger and Scott Rumble, two experienced school leaders with deep expertise in mathematics education, this session equips educators with ready-to-use resources, practical templates, and the confidence to integrate AI into their teaching practice. Adam Kruger (Assistant Principal at Lyndhurst Secondary College, previously Head of Mathematics at Wesley College, Glen Waverley) and Scott Rumble (Assistant Principal at Clyde Secondary College) bring extensive experience across mathematics leadership, numeracy development, data analysis, and curriculum design. Both have served as Directors of the Casey and Cardinia Mathematics Network and are celebrated presenters who work with students, teachers, and organisations in areas spanning leadership, effective feedback, creative and critical thinking, and cooperative learning. In this workshop, participants explore how AI can help with lesson planning, resource creation, differentiation, and student support—whether they're just beginning to experiment with AI or looking to deepen their existing practice. While particularly valuable for maths teachers, the tools and strategies are transferable across subject areas.
