In recent years, and in many schools, there has been a greater focus on incorporating more evidence-based practices in the classroom. In this webinar, participants will examine what the cognitive science and second language research shows, and they will explore: There will be a strong emphasis on methods that allow students to learn effectively and to communicate meaningfully rather than just learning for the test. This is a hands-on workshop and participants will come away with a host of new ideas for activities as well as teaching materials that they will develop during the workshop. Although the examples given in this workshop will come from French, the ideas presented are general in nature and can be applied in most language classrooms, so teachers of all languages are encouraged to attend.
