Upper Primary and Secondary Language teachers We all remember the excitement of seeing our teacher wheel the AV trolley into the classroom. The technology has changed, but the power of film and video to motivate and engage students absolutely hasnât. In fact, video is now the medium of choice for young people, which makes it one of the most valuable tools a language teacher can have. This practical, hands-on workshop is designed for language teachers who want to make the most of the Viewing element without feeling overwhelmed by complicated technology. Every tool and technique covered in this workshop is simple to use, for both teachers and students, so you can focus on the learning rather than the logistics. Across the day, participants will explore: The focus of this workshop is firmly on the practical. You wonât leave with a list of ideas you might get around to one day. Youâll leave with activities and teaching materials youâve developed yourself, ready to use in your very next lesson. Classroom Dynamics â the latest strategies and solutions to positive classroom management â Glen Pearsall I really enjoyed the small group size. The sessions were interactive and we not only saw Glenn demonstrate how he would use strategies himself but we heard from other educators on their challenges and thoughts and also saw video examples from other schools. I find this multi modal style of presentation much more engaging. It was also appreciated to have a copy of the book to take back to school and access to the online platform. The best P.D. I have attended in living memory!â I loved every minute of this engaging, interesting and informative PD. And I have been teaching for 40+ years!
