From Conversations to Connections: Elevating Student Learning in Residence Halls

Over the past several years, our Resident Learning Team has transformed intentional conversations from routine check-ins into purposeful, educational interactions that foster student learning, reflection, and belonging. This session traces our evolution from transactional dialogue to a developmental model grounded in pedagogy, theory, and assessment. Participants will explore our redesign process, learning outcomes, and Fall 2025 impact data to inspire new approaches to student engagement and learning beyond the classroom. The session will also highlight how our commitment to collaboration, continuous assessment, and openness to innovation continues to shape and strengthen our residential curriculum strategy.
