EdCamp - Empowering Youth: Cultural Identity and Language

This session invites participants to reflect on how schools can nurture students’ cultural identities while promoting language development. Discussions will focus on strategies for affirming heritage, fostering multilingualism, and creating inclusive environments that celebrate diversity. EdCamp is an informal, collaborative model where educators come together to share ideas, strategies, and experiences on a topic of interest. Sessions are typically conversational and interactive, fostering peer-to-peer learning and community building. Each EdCamp will have a facilitator assigned to raise questions around the topic of interest and allow participants to share perspectives on practice and gain insights on topics of interest to them.
