College and Career Counseling: Best practices in US Curriculum Schools

This workshop will focus on two one-hour topics. The first topic presents guidance for Students preparing for Health and Applied Sciences, Engineering, or Liberal Arts, and: The second topic explores comparing Models and Methodologies of U.S. Admissions. This workshop will support counselors with exploring how to best prepare student applications in specific majors, including both how to select coursework that shows readiness and interest in specific careers, as well as teaching students how to investigate universities' strengths with regard to applying for specific majors and colleges. By the end, counselors should be able to push students to develop applications that are more focused on specific academic subjects and career paths. This workshop is meant for more experienced counselors.
