Investigating Crayfish and Freshwater Ecosystems Workshop

Enhance your teaching toolkit and spark a passion for aquatic conservation in your students! This workshop will help educators explore Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant's newly developed, standards-aligned science curriculum Investigating Crayfish and Freshwater Ecosystems, designed to teach grades 2-12 about Great Lakes and freshwater ecosystems, the importance of native crayfish, and the ecological threats posed by invasive crayfish. During the workshop, we will practice hands-on activities directly from the curriculum and learn how students can participate in a crayfish community science program.
