Leaderless Discussion: How to get your students talking

Friday 24 April 2026·7:45 pm

Leaderless discussions aim to empower students by taking the teacher out of the equation, giving students the opportunity to have their voice heard in class. Starting with the class sitting in a large circle with a beginning question, the conversation flows from there, all without the help of the teacher. Focusing on uplifting students, allowing them the time and a safe space to think critically and voice their thoughts, leaderless discussions let students experience a classroom where their ideas matter and are valid.
