Everyday Discussions of the Ensuring fairness in Safety in Sport Bill

At the start of the 2025 school year the Government of Alberta introduced The Fairness and Safety in Sport Act (Bill 29) (https://www.alberta.ca/ensuring-fairness-safety-and-inclusivity-in-sport). It has had far reaching implications for teachers across Alberta and the students they teach. The goal of this session is to bring teachers together to have guided discussions about the challenges they have faced understanding and implementing the bill, and to share and brainstorm effective ways to teach in Alberta according to the bill. All are welcome, regardless of perspective or disposition regarding the bill. Please be prepared to participate in small-group discussions regarding the bill and its effect on your teaching.
