My Life as a Gorilla Keeper

I will share in my journey as a zookeeper caring for a troop of gorillas from a variety of backgrounds. Genetic diversity with a lofty goal of reintroducing individuals to a safe wild world is always in your mind. As well, having animals living in a captive environment that as closely as possible mimics their wild life is important to the species, individuals and visitor. There are many challenges and learning experiences for keepers and gorillas alike. I will share one long term particularly heartwarming story.
