These Boots Were Made For ME: Reinterpreting the Artifact

Participants will use a variety of sculptural assemblage materials along with clay and paint to create a NEW sculptural artifact based on their own story and journey. Participants have the opportunity to create something, an art object representative and expressive of their experiences and dreams using a variety of materials that may carry diverse meanings, both historically and within our contemporary world, and discuss with one another in safe place during the creative practice. Walking together along a path drenched with both history and hope, we can reimagine the artifacts that we engage with daily and the journey we take to create and interact with both those artifacts and one another.
