Empowering Future Financial Leaders: Implementing a High School Investing Class

CTS - High School/Junior High - This session will explore the design and implementation of a High school / Junior high Investing class aimed at equipping students with essential financial literacy skills. As financial decision-making becomes increasingly complex, it's critical to prepare students early with the tools and knowledge to navigate investing, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.  We will explore the related Alberta Learning Outcomes and share ready-made year plans and the tools to enrich your school programming. Session Objectives: 1. Understand the core components of a high school Investing curriculum. 2. Explore engaging teaching strategies, tools, and platforms (e.g., stock simulators, project-based learning).      3.  Receive a sample course outline and resources to adapt for their own schools.
