Understanding the Metis: Culture, Political History, and Today!

This presentation highlights the distinct experience of the Metis in Canada, which has resulted in a unique, strong and resilient people today. We will share the Metis perspective by exploring the political history and impacts of Land Scrip, the Pemmican Proclamation, and the Red River Resistance. This session fosters a deeper appreciation of Metis culture and a greater respect for Metis people. With show-and-tell items, this presentation brings the curriculum to life. Session Objectives: 1.
