Art Teachers as Change Makers: Leading Middle School Curriculum Through Visual Arts Integration
Part of 2026 NAEA National Convention
Friday 6 March 2026·8:00 pm
Middle school art teachers are uniquely positioned to be instructional leaders, shaping how visual arts integration deepens learning across subjects. Drawing from the Crystal Bridges Middle School Partnership Program, this session explores how art teachers can drive collaboration with content teachers, spark student engagement, and amplify the role of creativity in schools. Participants will see examples of student learning through art-infused lessons, learn strategies to position themselves as thought leaders in their buildings, and leave with practical tools to elevate their impact.
