Building Community Through the Arts: Utilizing YAM With Advocacy in Action

This workshop explores how schools can transform traditional art events into dynamic arts advocacy tools. Using Leavitt’s Arts Gala as a model, we will examine how interdisciplinary collaboration, including visual arts exhibitions, musical performances, theatre, and visiting artists, creates meaningful community engagement and highlights the arts as essential to education.
