Peer Mentorship - Utilizing Relational Inclusion Practices

Oftentimes, the supports we establish for our students with disabilities can negatively impact their capacity to connect with others in a classroom. In this session, we’ll explore the rationale and practice of peer mentorship - a program that pairs neurotypical students with students who have disabilities in attempts to bring an organic, relational, fun, and authentic experience to all. In doing so, we’ll share stories of success and challenges that will inspire and inform your practice of inclusion.
