Putting the "Fun" in "Dysfunction": Working with Teens to Build Executive Functions

If you've ever looked at a student and wondered "what are they missing?", the answer is likely an executive function (or two)! Executive functions are brain processes that that children and youth develop over time, such as planning, organization, time management, and response inhibition -- so what happens when they are not typically developing these skills? This session is designed to provide teachers with a working understanding of the different executive functions, how they work together, and how they can support junior high and high school students when their skills are lagging.
